CEO and founder of New Wave, Emina is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Lorinvest Group, which manages the company's assets. With more than 20 years' experience in the mining, foreign trade, logistics and shipbuilding industries, Emina is an entrepreneur by vocation. In 2007, he founded and led the iron processing company New Steel, which was sold to Vale S.A. in 2019. The executive graduated in Political Science from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano (Italy) and a specialization in International Relations from the Luiss Guido Carli School of Government - Rome (Italy).
Souza has more than 30 years of experience leading legal departments of several large companies, in addition to having expertise in Compliance and Corporate Governance, Sustainability, Procurement and Human Resources management. Souza has been a certified advisor by the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) since 2009, having served as member and president of the Fiscal Council and the Board of Directors of several companies. The executive also served as a direct and special advisor to the president of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) from 2019 to 2021. Graduated in Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), he has a postgraduate degree in Economic Law and Business degree from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and MBA in Logistics, Operations and Services from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
Bittencourt has 37 years' experience in the mining, mineral processing and refractory industries. Beginning his professional career as a research engineer at Magnesita Refractories in Brazil in 1986, he has enjoyed rapid growth within the company. After managing different areas, such as R&D, Marketing and Operations, he worked his way up to Vice President of Technical and Raw Materials before becoming President. Following the merger between RHI and Magnesita Refratários in 2017, Bittencourt became CTO of RHIMagnesita, the world's largest refractories company. Bittencourt holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering from the Missouri Institute of Science and Technology, 1996; an M.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah, 1989; and a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, 1986.
Bruno has more than 20 years of experience in mining, including six years in director-level roles. He led the global HSE function at Vale S/A, defining decarbonization and forestry targets, with several international assignments. He also has experience on boards of directors and sustainability committees. He has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and an MBA in Health and Safety from the Institute for Research and Education in Technology (IPETEC), as well as an MBA in Finance from Ibmec. He has also completed executive education programs at international business schools, including Tsinghua University (China) and California State University, East Bay – College of Business & Economics (USA).
Advisor to several companies, with over 25 years of experience in global operations, having held various leadership positions. He served as CEO of Prumo Global Logistics SA in Brazil; Senior Executive Vice President at Bucyrus International, overseeing the Southern Hemisphere region; and Vice President of Corporate Development at a Canadian mining company. Additionally, he spent twelve years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP and Arthur Andersen, and has been involved in numerous IPOs in the US. He holds a degree in Accounting from Pontifical Catholic University (Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais, Brazil), an MBA, and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP-181) at Harvard University in 2011.
Over 30 years of experience in business development, operations, and large-scale projects. He was previously COO of New Steel and built a 25-year career at Vale, where he managed a US$ 15 billion portfolio and served as President of Vale Pecém. He has strong international experience in Asia and the Middle East and proven expertise in operational excellence.
Elvira has over 30 years of experience, with a strong background in finance and leadership within the electric power sector. She has worked for major companies such as Eletrobras, Neoenergia, MRS Logística, ALL, and Ambev. She served as CFO of Eletrobras, where she led the company’s global public share offering — the second largest in the history of the Brazilian stock exchange — which enabled its privatization in 2022. Elvira currently serves on the boards of Gerdau, Embraer, Copa Energia, and Neoenergia, and has previously chaired the boards of three Power Generation and Transmission companies. She is a member of the NYSE Board Network, an initiative of the New York Stock Exchange, and was named Brazil’s Best CFO in 2022. Elvira holds a degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Pernambuco, as well as a Master’s and a post-MBA degree. She has also completed several executive education programs at leading international business schools, including CKGSB (China), The London School of Economics and Political Science (UK), ESADE (Spain), IMD (Switzerland), and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (USA).
Luciano Medeiros has been CEO of Lorinvest (New Wave's management company) since 2011. Before that, he was a partner at the law firm Barbosa, Müssnich & Aragão (BMA Law) for 11 years, where he led the M&A and capital markets group. Graduated in Law from the Cândido Mendes University Law School, he worked from 1992 to 1999 at Banco Pactual, one of Brazil's leading investment banks.

Jon Lamb is the Chief Investment Officer at Orion Resource Royalties. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of New Wave, he is currently a board member of Sweetwater Royalties and Rigel Resource Acquisition Corp. He has previously served on the boards of Atalaya Mining plc and Lynx Resources Ltd. Prior to joining Orion, he was an investment manager in the mine finance business of the Red Kite Group, and worked in investment banking with a focus on M&A and financing solutions in the base metals, precious metals, coal, and steel sectors. Lamb holds a degree from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary, and currently serves on the advisory board of The Boehly Center for Excellence in Finance at the College of William & Mary.
Managing Partner responsible for New Business Development and a member of the Management Committee at Lorinvest since 2019. He joined the Lorinvest Group in 2012 as CFO of New Steel. Co-founder of Lagoa Investimentos (2011–2019), where he was involved in CVM accreditation and business modeling in M&A. He led prospecting efforts for the Hankoe FIP in the sectors of new technologies, renewable energy, and mining. He also led the Private Equity team with a fund dedicated to companies in biotechnology, nanotechnology, sustainability, and related fields. He has 35 years of experience in the financial markets across various Latin American countries, including 15 years at ING Bank. He holds a degree in Business Administration – Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College, MA, USA.
Eduardo Mufarej is Co-Chief Investment Officer at Just Climate, which he joined in 2023. With over 25 years of experience as an investor and entrepreneur, he founded Good Karma Partners, an investment firm focused on education, healthcare, and climate action in Latin America. He was a co-founder and later CEO of Tarpon Investimentos, one of Brazil’s largest independent investment management firms. He has also held board positions at several companies, including serving as Chairman of Somos Educação and Serena Energia. Eduardo holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and is a fellow at Stanford University. He is also the author of Jornada Improvável.
